Hi! I am Briana Ariel.

I am a multidisciplinary artist, writer, speaker, community builder, wife, mother, and a million more titles. I am an imperfect human whose life was radically changed by Jesus at 19 (iykyk). The work I put out into the world is a reflection of intimate time with the ultimate creator.

In this space I don’t shy away from tough topics because I’ve learned transparency with The Lord has brought more healing than covering myself in shame has. My life hasn’t been perfect, but God has been faithful. I am a survivor of domestic violence, which I shared in depth in my debut poetry book, Her FREED Soul.

I often write from a woman’s point of view because that feels most natural to me.

I don’t have all of the answers or words to every person's experience. I am not perfect, even as a published author and editor of a magazine my words contain typos and I often opt for literary creativity when I can.

If you are looking for perfection, you won't find it here. However, I do my best to be true, to share when I can, and to provide words to birth a new wave of hope inside of you.

My goal for this space is to be a creative outlet for the art and words birthed out of the quiet times with the Lord and the ebbs and flows of my life.

This newsletter is a window into my creative world as an artist, writer, poet, and woman navigating life.

Your presence is so welcome here! I’ve prayed for YOU to be here!

Here’s a little more about me if you are interested….

🕊I am the wife of an incredible artist, designer, and producer. Together we live a creative life in between changing diapers, building tents, and art days with our 3 miraculous humans.

🕊I am an encourager. It just oozes out in everyday conversation.

🕊I’ve founded two communities:

  1. FREED Magazine (testimonies and art publication) – I get to serve with an AMAZING team to bring testimonies from people all over the world to our readers as well as incredible art.

    FREED Magazine

  2. Her Sunday Bloom (a community to encourage women) – I created this space out of my personal need for self-care. I was wrestling with postpartum depression at the time, so I designed creative workbooks to help me navigate that tough season. Once I started healing, I knew I couldn’t keep the resources to myself and I wanted to grow with a group of women so I created Her Sunday Bloom. You can subscribe for free!

🕊Oh, and I am a podcaster now … you can listen here!

🕊My art can be found in a couple of galleries. This still blows my mind.

🕊You can find me in three places: My home studio, a garden, or at the beach. This is where I spend the majority of my time and I wouldn’t have it any other way!

🕊I’ve been a professional photographer for over 14 years. I’m more selective with my jobs now, but I still like getting behind the camera, particularly for portraits. Being able to capture the beauty of God’s creativity in humans is always a high for me. Plus, I usually pour out encouragement which brings me unmeasurable amounts of joy!

🕊My husband, Stephen, and I co-own a branding company called, Forever Green Branding. We grow businesses and personal brands through photography, graphic design, and web design. Our approach is different and that’s why all of our business is 100% word of mouth and God’s faithfulness!

Branding Business

🕊I come from a family of writers and artists. Recently, I’ve reflected on how grateful I am to have been encouraged from a young age to pursue my creativity. I have degrees in Finance, Economics, and an MBA, but I never felt pressure to do that. My parents encouraged me that I could do both and that freedom has opened so many doors in multiple arenas.

🕊I am an early morning with a cup of tea type of woman. 5:30 in the morning is my prime time.

🕊I often write scribbles of thoughts and poems on random scraps of paper, the windowpane of the shower, the notes app on my phone, or my children’s notebooks.

Okay, that’s enough for this space…. If you would like to learn more about me and the work I put out into the world, consider subscribing to this publication either as a free or paid subscriber. Either way, you are supporting me and I am forever grateful!
